Two underdogs worth backing on Saturday's UFC card

The number tells on itself in the welterweight bout between Neil Magny and Ramiz Brahimaj. Magny opened as a slight favorite at -110, and now you can grab him at +110. That is a full flip in the market, and it is exactly the kind of public overcorrection I look for.
Magny owns a 31-15 record with 16 career decisions, meaning he knows how to go the distance. His last five include a submission win over Jake Matthews and a knockout of Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos. Brahimaj, at 13-6, has 12 of his 13 wins by submission, but he has also lost two of his last three, including a decision to Themba Gorimbo. If Magny keeps this standing and avoids the mat, the plus money is a gift. Follow the money, not the crowd, the crowd is clearly on Brahimaj at -135, but the opening number suggests the sharp side was Magny.
The women's strawweight fight between Mackenzie Dern and Gillian Robertson offers a similar dynamic. Dern opened at -178 and is now -210, while Robertson has moved from +138 to +170. That is more juice on Dern, but Robertson is riding a five-fight winning streak. Her last five include a decision over Amanda Lemos and a knockout of Marina Rodriguez. Dern has won three straight, but all by decision or submission, and she has zero knockout wins in her career. Robertson has 9 submission wins and 3 knockouts. At +170, she is the live dog in a matchup where both women want the fight on the ground. Respect the close, the line movement toward Dern is the public narrative, not the smarter one.
