The arena art on our NBA and NHL pages is made from photographs published on Wikimedia Commons. This page lists the photographer, the source and the licence for each of the 62 photos.
What we changed: Every arena image on the site is a modified version of the photograph credited below. We redrew each photo as 16-bit pixel art: cropped and padded it, repainted it in a limited palette with a new sunset sky, took out event banners, sponsor panels and parked cars, and added team colours and fans. The photographers did not make, review or endorse these images.
Share-alike: Photos under CC BY-SA or GFDL ask that a modified version be shared under the same licence. Our redrawn version of each of those photos is offered under the licence of the photo it came from. Those entries are marked “Share-alike” below.
How to read an entry: The photo title links to its Wikimedia Commons page, the author is shown as on Commons, and the licence name links to the licence text. Public-domain and CC0 photos need no credit; we list them anyway.
